# MIME::Decoder::BinHex - perldoc - [phpMan]

## NAME
    [MIME::Decoder::BinHex](https://www.chedong.com/phpMan.php/perldoc/MIME%3A%3ADecoder%3A%3ABinHex/markdown) - decode a "binhex" stream

## SYNOPSIS
    A generic decoder object; see [MIME::Decoder](https://www.chedong.com/phpMan.php/perldoc/MIME%3A%3ADecoder/markdown) for usage.

    Also supports a preamble() method to recover text before the binhexed portion of the stream.

## DESCRIPTION
    A [MIME::Decoder](https://www.chedong.com/phpMan.php/perldoc/MIME%3A%3ADecoder/markdown) subclass for a nonstandard encoding whereby data are binhex-encoded. Common
    non-standard MIME encodings for this:

        x-uu
        x-uuencode
