## NAME
       rcvdist - asynchronously receive and distribute new email

## SYNOPSIS
       **/usr/lib/mh/rcvdist** [**-help**] [**-version**] [**-form** _formfile_] [switches for _postproc_] _address1_ ...

## DESCRIPTION
       **rcvdist**  accepts  a message on its standard input and resends a copy of the message to all of
       the addresses listed on its command line.

       The format of the Resent-xxx header fields is specified by the form file “_rcvdistcomps_”.   If
       a  file  named  “_rcvdistcomps_” exists in the user's nmh directory, it will be used instead of
       the default file.  You may specify an alternate forms file with **-form** _formfile_.

       The “_rcvdistcomps_” file uses the format string facility described in [_mh-format_(5)](https://www.chedong.com/phpMan.php/man/mh-format/5/markdown).  In  addi‐
       tion to the standard format escapes, **rcvdist** also recognizes the following _component_ escape:

            _Escape_    _Returns_  _Description_
            addresses string   the addresses to distribute to

       By  default,  **rcvdist**  uses  the  **post**  program  to deliver the message, although this can be
       changed by defining the _postproc_ profile component.
