## NAME
       ntpdate-debian - set the date and time via NTP

## SYNOPSIS
       **ntpdate-debian** [**-bBdoqsuv**] [**-a** _key_] [**-e** _authdelay_] [**-k** _keyfile_] [**-o** _version_] [**-p** _samples_] [**-t**
       _timeout_]

## DESCRIPTION
       **ntpdate-debian** is identical to [**ntpdate**(8)](https://www.chedong.com/phpMan.php/man/ntpdate/8/markdown) except that it uses the configuration  in  _/etc/de__‐
       _fault/ntpdate_  by default.  **ntpdate** sets the local date and time by polling Network Time Pro‐
       tocol (NTP) servers.
