## NAME
       kpsestat - compute octal mode from mode of existing file

## SYNOPSIS
       **kpsestat** _mode_ _file_

## DESCRIPTION
       **kpsestat**  prints  the octal permission of _file_ modified according to _mode_ on standard output.
       The _mode_ parameter accepts a subset of the symbolic permissions accepted by [**chmod**(1)](https://www.chedong.com/phpMan.php/man/chmod/1/markdown).  Use  **=**
       as the mode to obtain the unchanged permissions.

## OPTIONS
       **kpsestat** accepts the following options:

       **--help** Print help message and exit.

### --version
              Print version information and exit.
