Technical Web Architect / Lead Java + Lucene web developer

Fast growing vertical search engine based in Hong Kong is looking to hire a Java web developer / techical architect with experience designing and building high-performance, scalable web applications.

You need to have 5 or more years of industry experience building and administering commercial high traffic web sites

Must have expert level knowledge of:

• Web development using Java / J2SE

• Design and architecting high performance web application using open source technologies such as Linux (fedora), Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, Spring frame work, Lucene

• Linux system administration and high volume performance optimization

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge of PHP, regular expressions, XML / XSLT will be a big plus.

• Experience with web search engines and web crawling technologies,existing search-related software and ranking methodologies (link analysis, click-stream analysis, etc)

• Good knowledge of English language.
